Kiama Unplugged
Bringing The Kiama Community Together
Kiama Unplugged was created by two local parents who became concerned about the impact smart phones and social media are having on young people. They want to encourage the community to take a step back from screens and create more opportunities for people to connect in the real world.
Who Is Kiama Unplugged For?
- Children and teens - Enjoying free play and connecting with their peers
- Parents and families - Helping children experience more of childhood away from screens
- The wider community - Encouraging real-time connection across all ages
- Anyone ready to unplug - Spending less time doom scrolling and more time out in the real world
The aim of Kiama Unplugged is to help bring people together, strengthen community connections and encourage more face-to-face interaction. It’s about making time for real conversations, shared experiences and the simple enjoyment of being together.
